Development of Education Courses

Today, February 3rd, 2018, the Most Worshipful Grand Master of Masons in Mississippi, Don Bryant, members of 10 Year Planning Committee and the Education Committee, DDGL‘s and PGM‘s met at the Meridian Masonic Center to participate in a preview of the upcoming Master Mason 101 and Introduction to Lodge Leadership Courses. Facilitators Stephen Bush, DDGL, and Tyler Blalock, DDGL, presented the courses and received feedback from those present.

This photo only represents about 1/2 of those who attended the training session

Suffice to say, all are very excited for these new courses, and for the plethora of courses to come in the future that these form the foundation for.

These courses are being fine-tuned prior to their official release at the 200th Bicentennial Session of the Grand Lodge of Mississippi, F. & A. M. There, members of subordinate lodges will be able to attend and take the information provided back home for personal development, and to their Lodges, for the development of their Brethren and their Lodge.

Don’t miss out. If you want to participate and be in “on the ground floor”, then read more about it here.

We look forward to seeing your lodge represented there!

Christmas Message from the Grand Master

Greetings:
Lynn and I would like to wish each of you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas.  I hope you have enjoyed this Masonic year as much as I have.  It has been a joy to visit with so many of you and witness the great work you are doing for our Craft.
Let us not forget our brothers who are away from home serving our great country during these trying times, our elderly and widows.
I am looking forward to our 200th Grand Lodge in March and hope to see many of you there.  I believe this is going to be a great year for Masonry in Mississippi.  I hope you are as pumped about our celebration in July in Natchez, MS as I am.  Our planning committee is doing a great job and have a good program set up for us.  Let’s get behind them and give them the support they need to complete this task.
Thanks for all you do!

APPEAL FOR RELIEF – PUERTO RICO

The devastation that two hurricanes caused in Puerto Rico, particularly Hurricane Maria, is by now well known. With 95% of the island without electricity or communication, and 50% without drinking water, it will take months to recover, but they are in need of help now.

Grand Master Raúl Rodríguez Quiles has contacted the Masonic Service Association of North America asking for help for the brethren of his jurisdiction by issuing a Disaster Relief Appeal.

As Masons across the country have contributed so much to MSA for Texas and Florida, we must again ask the greater Masonic community to try their best to do more.

Every dollar sent to MSA will go the affected jurisdiction. Nothing will be deducted for administration, bookkeeping, thank you letters, or PayPal expenses. As with the two previous ongoing appeals, this third appeal for the Grand Lodge of Puerto Rico will help them aid and assist their distressed brothers, families, and lodges.

When you are asked, why? You can proudly answer, “Because that’s what Masons do!”

Donations can be made online at http://www.msana.com/msappeals.asp#puertorico.

When remitting by check, please mark clearly that you wish the funds to go to the Puerto Rico Disaster Appeal.
Please forward any donations you feel appropriate to help our devastated Brothers and their families to MSA.

Please make checks payable to
MSA Disaster Relief Fund and send to
